hey everyone, my iphone was stolen not recently and i wanted to report this to the police, im 13 years old and i live in the york region so that narrows everything , but i was wondering what number i call for the police i've tried reporting the york region police website but no help, the non emergency police told me to do that as well so im wondering what do i do now. do i call 911 or what ? please help, i need something instant

I agree with the previous poster. DO NOT call 911 for a stolen phone if there is a non emergency line in your county. You can get into some serious trouble for abusing the 911 line. Generally speaking, if you have the receipt, you can take it to the pd and have a complaint number generated for you to take to the phone company if you are using insurance to replace it. Unless, of course, it was taken during the commission of another crime, you were assaulted and it was stolen, mugging, etc, but even in that case, it didn't just happen and you still should not call 911 for it.

Just call the phone provider to cancel the phone. The police don't want to bother likely, unless there is violence involved, and/or strong evidence to lead them to the perpetrator.
