What notes should I play in a jazz solo in the key of D Minor?

have to solo in a few weeks time for a jazz song in the key of D Minor. The song is called "deacon jack's gospel shack". I play trumpet by the way. Any suggestions for what notes I should play (a's, e's etc) would be really great! I am terrified of soloing! I'm not too good at it either!
