the US.? I'm in the army (US) and I'm going to be stationed in south Germany next year. I'm taking my 2009 HD Fat Bob with me. I've read a little bit online about the rules in Germany and understand that many...almost all parts must be approved and have an "E" stamp on them from the exhaust to the mirrors. My bike is mostly stock other then saddle bags and Vance & Hinces Big Shots with normal baffles..it is loud but not really loud. It also has dual headlights that both work at the same time (low and high)....I thought heard something about only being able to have one light on at a time??

Anyone in the military done the TÜV vehicle inspection in Germany? Do we get a discount?

hmm. As a GI, i didnt have to do anything to mine when i was in Germany. I would check on post with Transportation or who ever does OCONUS stuff. to buy one there and have it shipped here required a bunch of conversions, but last I knew, not for taking your bike there as long as it is getting a US plate on it while serving in the active component.
