what music is popular, whose popular and why? what cultural festivities are happening in the next month? any cool about latin/spanish country's around the world?
 
Shakira, she is an international icon.
She is my favorite, I am from the USA, and I was surprised last summer when I was visiting Turkey she was there doing a concert.

She was also in Egypt a few years before while I was visiting there as well.

She sang at the world cup soccer games a couple of years ago as well.

So not only has she captured the hearts American public and Latino Public, she is also made glad the hearts of Middle Eastern Cultures as well.
