culture or a racial group? Choose 1 or more movies, songs, plays, or theatrical presentations that changed or affected the way you understand a specific culture, a specific racial group, the lives of women (or men) ect. Explain in detail how your world view/beliefs were affected.

None have.... Any song, movie or video clip is a skewed view the media masters present....

They are all wrong and present a false view.....

movie = Crash
song = My president is black - young jeezy
play = haven't seen any sorry

but the movie crash has everything to do with your question

"It;s a family thing" with Robert Duvall and James Earl Jones.

Watch the character "Aunt Tee"...this lady should have been nominated for a freakin oscar!

Well with me the biggest example would not be any of those three, it is a TV called "Little People, Big World" on TLC about a family with two LP parents, Matt and Amy Roloff, and one LP son, Zack Roloff.

Honestly I never had much understanding of what an LPs life is like until I started watching that show. I somehow knew they didn't do everything different, but I didn't have a really solid comprehension of how similar they were to everyone else. That and I grew more respect for them and pretty much stopped using the word "midget".

Nothing really shakes my understanding of someone who is different in a way than that show has. It's frickin' entertaining too!

Other than that I really can't think of much. There are more things although I've never really seen a play, but if I think harder I could probably come up with a movie or song.
