what do people think about my idea and do you have any other ideas for remakes

Silent Running (ask yer dad) with Owen Wilson or Ryan Gosling in the lead. After Wall-E comes out and makes a packet, they'll probably do it.

As for a Police Academy remake? Noooooo!

I thought Sly resembled a more muscular Pepperami Man in Rambo.

No remakes.

Ever.

Ever.

Oh... Except maybe the Star Wars prequels, and make them using actors and a director this time.

I would like to see a re-make of The Breakfast Club, although I doubt it would come anywhere close to being as good as the original...

I have yet to think of who to cast...

Maybe a Juno reunion witih Michael Cera in the Anthony Michael Hall role and Ellen Page replacing Ally Sheedy. Kirsten Dunst would have been good for Ringwald but is too old now. Doesn't have to be a redhead though I suppose.
As for Judd and Emilio. Shia Labeouf can do cocky very well. Thomas Dekker from Sarah Connor Chronicles/Heroes could do the Emilio part maybe.

None. It is about time Hollwood got some guts and wrote something original - or made a movie out of some book that has not been already adapted (they do exist)

They shouldn't make remakes.... well, at least let's put a cap on it - no film can be remade until it's at least 50 years old. If these tossers can't think of anything original (which seems to be more and more the case over the past few years) then frankly they shouldn't be in the "movie-making" business. Remakes are all about making a quick buck with the minimal ammount of creative effort.

You're idea could be quite good if it does as a belated sequel/loose remake type.

But we really need less remakes so don't be giving Hollywood the idea we want more!:D

But seeing as they will anyway they might as well do some that will work or are needed (i.e The Fly,King Kong,The Thing).

I'd say
The Incredible Shrinking Man
or a modern update of It's A Mad,Mad,Mad,Mad World.
