It calls for 5w30. I was thinking of going with mobil 1.
If you are a chevy man tell me what you think? and what about 10w30 for the summer?

I live in Alaska and Mobil 1 is the king of oils here. I use it in all my engines from my truck to the cars to the lawn tractor and pressure washer. Use the 5-w-30 your engine calls for and you can't go wrong. During the coldest time you can use 0w30 for those -20f or below periods in the dead of winter if you wish.
Stay with the 5w, that's for cold starts. operating temps are for the second number 30, if you are always in extreme heat like the desert or run extremely hard all the time you possibly could consider a 40
