I want to go to the Marines for about 4 years and earn at least 70,000 dollars to attend University Of Florida because I've been in too much trouble to get any kinda scholarship. Everyone keeps telling me that I should go to National Guard, Navy, Air Force, etc. But I want to go to whatever branch thats going to pay my way to college guaranteed. So if anyone could help me w/ this I would really appreciate it.

My Plans are:
Go to the Maines for four yrs.- Get swoll and tough
Go to the UF and be a walk-on
see how much I have progressed in four years and to see if I could make the NFL Draft

All military personnel, regardless of service, are eligible to receive the GI Bill (Either the MGIB, or Post-9/11 GIB) which will most likely pay your full way through any college aside from expensive private institutions.

However, I will say that if you want money, don't join the Marines. Marines join the Corps for one reason alone - to claim the elite title of "Marine." If your goals are college during service, money, ease of life, etc, you'll want to explore one of the other branches.

If you aren't missing your legs from a roadside bomb in Afghanistan or Iraq after your military time, maybe you will be able to play sports. Or you could be dead. Better than a paraplegic I think.

Rethink joining the service to go to college. Get loans.

The Marines will use you. When you are done there, you won't want to play football anymore.
