What might be the reason for my mazda MPV 2001automatic transmission problem?

My MAzda MPV had strange noise coming from the transmission on park and neutral and it is not moving on all shifter position. I thought the transmission is gone so i replaced it with a used one and it is guaranteed it is in a good condition. i installed it and tried it again there is no reverse, actually it moved forward weakly and it is not pulling strong on drive after two minutes it is not moving again. then O/D light start flashing. Also i was sure of the oil level. Please help i think it might be electrical or control problem. please if you have any idea please let me know. Thanks in advance
