Mercury in Capricorn-they come off as insensitive.
Mercury in Sagittarius-they don't always think before they speak.
Mercury in Aries-they come off as harsh and domineering.
I have Mercury in Cancer trine Pluto in Scorpio and I really pissed off some people at work for speaking up about some unfair treatment in front of a large group of people in a meeting. People don't always like to hear ugly things. They'd rather hide them or ignore such things.
One of my friends has her Mars conjunct her Mercury in Taurus. She has a low pitched sweet voice. But boy, does she strike back with force when she's mad.

Sagittarius, Aries, Gemini, Taurus and even Scorpio. Very hard signs to be bound to communication with. I struggle a lot with this being Scorpio in Mercury. People think I'm being rude or bitchy, but sometimes I might be joking, but b/c it's so dry, it's hard to understand.
