I'm very interested in Capoeira, but I hear that it's not very effective as a stand-alone fighting style outside of...fighting other Capoeira-users. Is there a martial arts style I could learn that compliments Capoeira?

Would Judo or Muay Thai be good, considering Capoeira is focused on sweeping kicks?

Other info: I'm an 18 year-old girl, haven't learned any martial arts before.

Taekwondo is crap for defence Its a good girls sport though so go for it:) it really depends on who you are Muay Thai would have too be the most aggresive form of martial arts as it has knees punches kicks elboes its fast and gets you incredibly fit
karate isnt too bad but i dont no much about it
brazillan jiu jitsu is good its more passive focusing on locks and grappling etc so its great for defence
Caoperia I have no idea I have no idea I dont no anywhere in my state that alone country(australia)
