So my question is what martial art should I take to lose weight and could if you have experience with karate, Capoeira, tae kwon do, or kung fu especially karate could you share your opinion on it.

Okay I have noticed with each passing year I have gotten a little chubbier with each year but this year has definitely been the worse. I have been thinking about taking martial arts but yesterday it was like the tip of the iceberg were I was like okay stop thinking about it get good info on it then start trying to find a class. Anyway yesterday when I went to the ER they had to weigh me, and I was horrified but not surprised that I weighted 129 pounds (that means I have gained 11 freakin pounds this year.) So I want to take martial arts. I want to do martial arts because I want to lose weight, and I want to learn self defense. I am mainly interested in karate but Capoeira, tae kwon do, and kung fu also sound a little interesting too. I am a 16 year old girl and am a little taller then 5'2, like I said before I weigh 129 pounds. I am also not athletic (trust me even in 3rd grade when I was the skinniest in my grade when we had to run I would just be in front of all the fat kids, also I am not that strong either yesterday I punched my brother and it did not hurt him that much at all, just telling you how unathletic I am.) Also all my fat seems to go to my thighs, hips, stomach, and butt (so if any martial arts in particular would get rid of fat there it would be nice to know.) I also do not want to learn kick boxing or wrestling at all. Sorry if I rambled or am being a tad on the stupid side. Please also do not say stop complaining about being fat, or you were at the ER and it was your weight you were worried about or why did you punch your brother. Thanx.
