What makes the reggae (Jamaican) music sounds so clean and stereo than other music?

Since in the year 80's when the reggae music started to be coming very popular (like Bob Marley, Yellow Man, etc.), I noticed that time and till now that the reggae music sounds was recorded and live band were very clean and stereo than other music. I was wonder what is being done. maybe the Studio, Sound engineering, Music instruments or the Musician?

Maybe, somebody could explain this to me?
