What major/minor should I choose if I want to get into Medical School?

I've read numerous articles and even general experiences about the acceptance rates for Biology/Chemistry majors into med school not being as good as they may seem. According to what I've read, most applicants will choose a Bio or Chem major because it seems as though it's an easy way to get accepted, yet the people reviewing the applications will get bored of the generic degrees. When they see a B.A. in Philosophy or something out of the ordinary (of course with all of the pre-reqs for med school), it will make them remember that person, and they'll be considered before the numerous people with Bio degrees. I'm not sure how true this theory is, but I'm trying to decide on a major and I was thinking of majoring Psychology (if Medical School doesn't work out, I can fulfill my dream of becoming a Forensic Psychologist) with a minor in Political Science (I was considering this as a major as well, would that help me?), Biomedical Anthropology (maybe as my major?) Biology, or even Creative Writing. I know I'll have to speak with my adviser, but I just want a general idea about what will help my acceptance.
