What made you want to join the military?

Did you think about it for a while or was it an out of the blue type decision? What branch did you join and what did you learn from your experience? What was your job in the military and were you enlisted or were you an officer? i know i'm asking a lot of questions, i'm just wondering how other people's military experience was. Thank you
