...America? I'm having some serious trouble finding the answer through Google searches. I know he resented labor unions and tried to prevent the formation of one within his own company. In his efforts, he raised wages, shortened hours, hired unlikely workers, and enforced a set of rules. Yet his efforts failed and a labor union was est. in his company anyway.
but was there a long-term effect due to Ford's actions. Did his effort encourage other companies to establish such rules and champion equal rights of hiring workers regardless of their background, orientation, etc?
