internal conflict? Lily's Internal Conflict: Lily feels responsible for her mother's death, and feels she must learn more about her mother to learn more about herself.

For example, I said one of the external conflicts (blacks vs whites) was enhanced by the mood. The issues of abuse and racism brought like, a somber mood (ish), but was lightened the the inspirational quotes and stuff. Ya, so help? =\
