What laptop to get? a AsusG73JW-A1 or wait for a new macbook pro thats going

I am looking for a laptop that will be my main computer, and at the moment I have a older version of the Macbook pro 15.4in that came out around 2008, the version right before apple decided to go to the one slab chassis thing. Anyways, I am looking for something that can handle my every day work and browsing as I am still in school, but can also play video games with ease like world of warcraft. I have talked to my friends and they told me to just wait and get the new macbook pro when it comes out around march, but i cant help but think why? because I look at the specs for this AsusG73Jw-A1 and it looks amazing well better then my 2GB ram 250gb hardrive and even compared it to the macbook pro out now and spec wise it still looks better. I mean I love my mac, but I just need something more. Please help me
