I have a garden that has been waterlogged over the winter and i want to try to do something with it for the summer. I don't want to spend too much as its only a rented house and I will only be here one or two years. However the back garden lawn is mostly clay and so has been really wet. i am going to order sand to be delivered from B&Q Stores but not sure if to get buidling sand or sharp sand.... it is to dig into the top12" before re-turfing to reduce the water it holds over the next few months.
Also the garden it is going onto isn't big - I'd guess at 40 sq yards or so - how many bags do you think I will need?
I know the job sounds a little rough - and I will do my bext, but, like I say, I just want to create somewhere to sit this year with little expense and fairly quickly.
Any help would be much appreciated...
