Most large Cichlids (Convicts, Green Terrors, Oscars, etc.) like lettuce or cucumbers. You can buy lettuce clips at most fish. pet stores or weighted cucumber spikes as well.

I have seen people talk about feeding veggies to their fish. I am clueless about this one. What specific veggies and are they raw, canned, cooked or what? Thank for your answers (please no stupid ones....)

raw - fresh. lettuce and cabbage. cut up into reasonable size pieces... like anywhere between 2-4 inches, all depending on the size of fish.

I've fed mine blanched cucumber;

popular with loaches and Ancistrus catfish, ignored by cory catfish, tetras, gouramis, Bolivian Butterflies etc
