What kind of truck tailgate is this and can I get one for a 98 dodge dakota?

I'm looking to buy a tailgate like this so that the wind can flow easier when I'm driving and the gas millage is better. Also, anybody know where I can get one? Thanks

They've done lots of studies on that, and it doesn't help gas mileage.

Having a tailgate makes the air spiral and left up. Not having a tailgate actually makes the air pull down and create more drag.

But the end result is not very a measurable difference either way.

It is a tailgate for a pickup that has a gooseneck hitch in the bed. Most Dakotas will not pull a trailer the size that needs a gooseneck hitch. I read an article once where they used very sophisticated equipment to measure gas mileage of a pickup truck with the tailgate closed, down. and off, and about .2 mpg was all they could measure.
