What kind of toll will a 7-hr round-trip (over two days) take on a '96 Ford Taurus?

I've gotta make this car last as long as I can. It has about 60,000 miles on it and it runs decently except for when the AC is on. The longest I've driven it without stopping is about 1 hr 15 min. The previous owner never made long trips in it. I don't have an option as to which car I can take on this trip, but I don't want to be surprised if it starts running badly afterwards. I don't know a ton about cars.
 
60k miles on a 13 yr old car, that's nothing!? You shouldn't have a problem!!...As long as the car is in decent shape, and has been maintained properly, it should be good to go, and you shouldn't run into any problems.It WONT run badly afterwards.
