What kind of tires should I be putting on a 2007 Pontiac G6 Gt model? ?

The guy at the tire place said I HAVE to put high preformance tires on my car. I'm not sure I've ever heard this before. Not only that but how long should my tires last?? I don't drive crazy or anything.
 
if u still have those stock tires those should last up to 40k miles. no car requires to have high performance tires unless you want low profile ones. its better to just go with all weather tires to save money on the side.

How much are they talking here-i bet the price is outrageous isnt it?
Generally for just about every car there are multiple types of tires you can put on it. Everything from a basic tire for people who are on a budget to a high performance tire for people with money to spend.
Find yourself a different tire shop.

Also-do you know what size tire they are? You can go to different tire shops websites to look up for yourself what tires cost what for your car-and how many different kinds of tires will fit your car.
