I am no culinary expert, but I have Yugoslavian neighbors -- and I think most of the Eastern European countries have similar diets. They eat lots of pork -- and make their own wonderful sausage. They eat lots of vegetables -- cabbage, peppers, cucumbers. The wife makes wonderful pickles with vinegar, water, and salt. I've never known them to eat horse-meat, but I sure don't know.
