What kind of road bike should I get?

I'm 16 years old. My brother recently got into cycling, he loves it. He talked my other brother into cycling, he loves it also. I am very tempted to get a bike. What I don't know what brand, also I'm in a tight budget about $450 is around the most I can spend. I will mostly use it to bike to practice which is about 2 miles. But I will also use it for biking with my brothers which they usually go about 30 to 35 every other day. I'm very athlectic so I'll use it a lot.

I'd go for a touring bike. Wider tires than a racing bike but much slimmer--and lighter--than a mountain bike. DO NOT GET A MOUNTAN BIKE. That would work for you for the 2 miles trips but you'd die by the time you hit 30 miles. I'd go to an actual bike store (i.e., not Sears, Target, etc.) and ask what they have from last season. You should be able to get a fairly decent bike for between $300-$400.
