What kind of rims should I put on a Pontiac G6 gt model?

I thought I needed new tires. Now I'm being told that I actually need new rims. The stock rims cost 500 a piece. It would be cheaper just to replace them with some cheap custom rims but I don't even know where to begin or what I should be looking for. I've been told the pontiac has a different bolt pattern. help please!
