You fill out a letter to send home to say you arrived safely. No, you don't refill out your enlistment contract again. No, you do not need a security clearance.

No its different papework, I can't really remember exactly, boot camp is still a blur, lol. I know you fill out your GI bill paperwork, well with the new GI bill you might not even do that anymore. You also fill out your next of kin, life insurance, and well basically your first day and a half is almost all paperwork. Oh and you want to know the most awesome thing about this paperwork deal??? Well after this you go meet your Senior Drill Instructor, and later that night you get to do something called sleep, and trust me that rack will feel like a double stuffed feather bed! Then like 6 hours later you'll wake upt to a morning that will seem like hell, and you'll wanna go UA, lol, just remember this phrase "lights, lights, lights".

And no infantry does not require a security clearance.

You will fill out a lot of paperwork, not sure which ones but it'll take up to at least a day. You are probably even going to spend the night at the check-in place where you sign all your papers. You will also be required to mail home a letter saying that you arrived safely, and rules and what not for boot camp and you can also write a couple sentences if you want. You will also get a phone call home, that is required to tell them that you have arrived safely, but you can call whoever you want; doesn't have to be your parents. I don't even think my brother called home, but we did get that required letter and he wrote a couple sentences.
