Ok so heres my problem... I work and McDonald's and Ive worked they're for almost 5 years. In May I transferred to a different store in a different state. I am having a lot of issues at this new store and Im not really sure who to contact about it. First off they have scheduled me for 40+ hours and then gone back into our system and edited my time punches to where I am only averaging about 36 hours a week. My store manager told us that we are not aloud to get overtime but I didn't know they would be changing out time punches which I am sure has to be illegal in more then one way. Second off I am not on salary and I don't receive breaks. A lot of states have certain labor laws but I have worked over 13 hours before and not recieved a break. I also dont think that this can be justified in any way. These are pretty much my main two problems. Any advice or suggestions about how I should go about handling this? a.k.a I cant go to anyone else at work for it because I will probably loose my job or they will just cut my hours until I quit... any adive would be greatly appreciated :)

Contact the State Labor Board. They will do an investigation. Your employer legally cannot terminate you for making a claim to them, but he'll probably try to anyhow using some other bogus reason. I once got a check for about a thousand bucks because someone else who worked for the same company filed exactly this type of claim.
