what kind of football cleats do i need for artificial turf?

i was told by a friend that i was gonna need a special type of cleat cus the high school football field is artificial turf but i didn't think to ask what the difference was and how to know what type of cleat i needed, and also he said that if they werent the right type then they wouldn't let me use them.
so could someone please elaborate on all of that?
