What kind of fish should I buy for my new aquarium?

I just bought a 55 gallon fish tank. :) Currently, I have two gold fish and a plecostomus. No salt water.

Any suggestions for some cool, colorful, pretty fish? I have no idea what I want! Posting pics would be nice, too. THANKS! :)
 
Since you have goldfish, stick with goldfish. You cannot get any tropical fish because goldfish are cold water fish. I'd get about 3 more goldfish and call the tank done. Goldfish need a lot of room that's why I only suggested 3 more.

P.S. Being the plecostumus is a tropical fish, it might be in danger of dieing.
