Today at school, I won a fish during a little raffle thing we were doing. The giver told me that it was a Goldfish. This is a high school-er so I'm not sure she knew. Anyway, my fish is small, maybe a half a pinkie long. He/she is orange with some silver on the sides of its belly and a white mouth and white spots on the tail. At this point, it's been actively swimming around and then randomly stopping and just sitting there. It also seems to be breathing fast and at first was opening and closing its mouth but then it stopped doing that and now just seems pretty lethargic but okay. No, I've read up a little on what all of this could mean and I'm so scared that it might have that Ich thing. But when i look closely at my fish it looks like it has the tiniest little whiskers above his mouth... That's what worries me... Is he flaking and dying right under my eyes with this Ich, or is he a completely different fish than what was originally said? I looked it up and I'm afraid it might either be a koi or a carp.. What do i do then? Please help me? I'm 16 and feel like a kid who doesn't know what to do.. .
