What kind of fish can be together in a saltwater tank?

the general rule for saltwater fish is 1 type of breed per tank so u could have like 1 clownfish and 1 tang with a whole buch of other fish just not the same breed except for damsels because they arnt really all that aggressive and u could get like 4clowns 2 it jsut depends on the size of your fish tank and if your a starter i recomend getting a used 10gallon and just keep live rock and a few soft corals and keep like 3-4 damsels because they are pretty hardy fish.

I don't know of many small Trigger fishes. The smallest one that comes to my mind is, Blackbar Triggerfish, which grows to about 10 to 12 inches.


A 20 gallon tank is definitely too small for such an aggressive fish. They require at least a 55 gallon tank.

I really want a saltwater tank and i want to put triggerfish in it maybe like one. I have been looking online but i get 20 different answers. I need to know what the smallest triggerfish is and what size tank they need. And what kind of other fish can go with it. thanks
