Hi There,
I've been dealing with on and off low back pain for several years; it kind of comes and goes, and when it comes, it feels like i've 'strained' my lower back (behind the lower pelvis) and it's hard to stand up straight and walk. Happened after i did a quick stop during skiing 5 years ago--i think i wrenched the lower back when i did so. I've seen chiropractors who recommend strengthening exercises, etc...Haven't had an MRI, but i think it wasn't recommended. Could it be a herniated disc?
Anyway, it flared up again last week, and i spent the better part of that week not able to walk well, stand up very straight, etc. In certain positions i don't feel it at all, but in certain positions i really do. Really restricts mobility. *Anyway*, i feel like i should see a doc again, but i really don't know what kind...! Chiropractor? Orthopedist? Just want to make sure i'm doing all i can for it...I guess there's not much to do outside strengthening and--if necessary--surgery, right?
Thank you so much for any advice!!!!
