What kind of clothes should a 6th grader wear to a dance?

My school requires boys to wear suits and girls to wear "after five attire". I want to find a dress that i like and don't look ridiculous in. I have pink hair, so i want to find something that will look good with it. my style is somewhere between punk, skater, and goth. any ideas on where to look or what to get?
 
i think your too young to be on yahoo answers or wear a dress... but if you really wnt, you could try winners, they might have resonably pried dresses that fit you there. and macy's if you live in the usa.
