what i dont want is-
the common toyota, honda anything. i am not a fuel economy worried person.
i'd prefer a better looking car, without too high of insurance.

im 17. i currently own a 1982 datsun 280zx 2+2 (1st car), and i bought it knowingly that it would be parked for a great while cause im going to be restoring it. and ive driven it a bit, its parked now, insurance is soo high.

heres a little taste of what i like and would want-
1990-95 jaguar xj6 4 door sedan-are these considered sports car and would be high on insurance?
1993-95 pontiac grand prix coupe

i believe my max $ to spend is around 3000. i want this next car to be a Daily Driver. and i like to ride with some style, so if that jag is good, id definately DD that :]

also, would a jaguar between those years, bought used of course, be around 2000$? this guy is selling his for near that price, and it has over 130K miles. and claims he's replaced all sorts of things, fan belt, plugs, dizzy cap etc...possibly good buy? or stay away?

i hope i get some good answers, thanks community!

go with the pontiac. A jaguar will give you problems and boy will it cost you, let a lone find a good mechanic. Think 50% over what you would normally pay for labor and double for parts. for $3K you're probably buying a car that you'll be putting money into to maintain of it's not a standard Honda, Toyota. Why not a used ACura INtegra or CL- coupes. They can be modded. That's where the joy is.
And buy it stick for your price or plan on shopping for a tranny soon on a car which will likely have many miles on it, over 100K.
