What kind of bike should I buy?

I wanna start riding a bike to school. Campus is about 3 miles away and slightly uphill.
I'm not looking for anything fancy, just a reliable bike that will get me there safe (cause I'll be riding on a main street)..

I am a female college student 5'5'' 125 lbs.

i cant give you an exact answer but if you live near a bike source store than that will help. they have many experts and can make a custom bike that fits you individually
