what kind of bike should I buy for working out?

I'm a 22 female/5'5 130 lbs and I want to get into a routine of working out and I use to love bike riding so I want to get back into but I have no idea what kind of bike to buy. Does bike ride help tighten the belly at all because that is the part of my body I have the hardest part with. Also, How long should I work out and how many days and when do people usually start to see results?
 
You buy a bike based on the terrain and surface you'll be riding on. MTB for trails and singletrack, road bike for paved surfaces. If I could have only one bike, it would be decent hardtail mountain bike (with front suspension only)

How much is an open-ended question. Those of us who compete will tell you its "NEVER ENOUGH". We're always looking for a way to squeeze in a few more miles.

Cycling is great cardiovascular exercise, and will help you get rid of excess fat, provided you put in enough mileage. Its a little weak on the upper body. If you want the best overall workout, become a triathlete.
