What kind is this fish?

So i have had this fish for about 2 years now and idk what kind of fish he is. he is long very skinny a little red in his tail. Strip across him. Hes like dark green like ugly green and yea. I saw him in a book before. He is something he is a special like red tail kind of species. They have others of him. I forgot his type. So please tell me. He is from walmart very common fish i think.
nope. no kind of shark. It is like 3innches? its in a 10gallon tank and its fine cuz hes been in there for 2years now
 
do u think maybe u can leave a picture of ur fish, sounds like a red tail shark, but their main colors are black and red tails so yea.
