I use vented box they work wonderfully, and i think those are 300w RMS? Use a 2 channel 600 watt kicker amp. they're explensive but when hooked up right THEY BANG. my neighbor has them and i hear them clear at about a half mile away. and thats his exact layout. don't forget a cap.

As you probably know, they are 2 ohm subs. I will be installing them in an '05 Mustang. Also, should i use a vented box?
So a Kicker 08ZX7501 should probably do the job then? Wasn't sure if i needed to get the 1000.1 or not.

i have 2 kickers and they are great in a ported box,i also have a mustang 2000 though,if u want them in the trunk u might need a custom box,my subs are in the back seat, which kinda sux,but they still sound great.i think ur subs are 400 rms each so get a 800 watts rms mono block amp, since there dvc 2 ohm u can wire them down to 2 ohms, good luck

If you are powering 2 of them use the Alpine PDX-1.600 Mono amplifier.
It is 600 watts RMS @ 2 ohms and 4 ohms. Thats perfect for your subs and Alpines PDX amps are excellent. Or use the Kicker ZX750...its 750 watts RMS ..but i guess it's better to ovedrpower your subs then to underpower them. Use a VENTED box if you want loud bass, use a SEALED box if you want deep basss....not boomy though. Use ported.
