What jobs are available for a history major?

I plan on being a history major, and I was wondering what jobs are available with that degree aside from teaching.

Are there any jobs in the government for someone with a degree in history?
 
You can actually work with teams of archaeologists in many different countries! Uncovering artifacts, you will be the one determining what they're from on the site.
 
Yes, there are government jobs available for history majors. All the reading and writing needed for a history degree prepares you well for many government jobs. You could also be a paralegal, a lobbyist or an environmentalist -- all jobs that require good comprehensive reading and writing skills.
