What is your saddest movie scene?

The only scene in a film I've ever actually cried tears at, when I was a kid. I remember getting the video for my birthday and watching it at my party, and bursting into tears in front of my frienRAB when she left the fox in the wooRAB.:o

:( I didn't know it was his last film.That's a shame.
I couldn't help but draw comparisons to his Spaghetti Western films like A Fistful Of Dollars etc.
Facing down the baddies and going for his gun(or so they thought).
The Shootist(John Wayne) is also really sad at the end.He was dying of cancer when they were filming it,he knew it was his last film.I keep thinking how brave he must have been to do that.

On the other hand, what made me laugh at that film was when she got her first period and told him not to come back 'for 3 to 7 days' :D

The ending of 'The Mist'

The scene in 'American History X', when the Edward Furlong's charachter gets killed.

The ending in 'Atonement'.

'The Land before Time' made me blubber, (animated dinosaur movie).

I found the ending of 'Platoon' very emotional.

One that gets me is in Blade Runner, when Rachel realises that her childhood memories are mere implants, memories that she never experienced. She looks understandably crushed by Deckard's revelation.

The First Snow of Winter
When Shaun gets accidentally left behind by his family and says "Come back", then when he meets Voley who helps him through winter, until he also has to leave him to hibernate, then the final scene when all the birRAB are returning and he thinks his family haven't come back :(
A made-for-TV movie, bit still... :o

The end of Gran Torino. I was holding back tears for what felt like 10 minutes. No idea why it got to me so bad, but I was never going to cry in public, let alone in front of the girlfriend.

The Legend of 1900.
When Danny is killed.
When 1900 is lonely and calls up random people for a chat.
When he decides to stay on the ship.

The Last Of The Mohicans.
When Heyward is sacrificed.
When Uncas is killed and Alice throws herself from the cliff.

The Green Mile.
When John Coffey is executed.
When Del is executed and when Percy tells him there's no such place as Mouseville.

Au Revoir Les Enfants
When Jean is taken by the nazis.

My Girl.
When Thomas J dies.

Schindlers List
The ending.
When Goeth is trying to kill the rabbi.
When the women are accidentally taken to Auschwitz.

The Pianist
When you find out that the mother smothers her baby to prevent it from crying and betraying her location.

The Phantom Of The Opera(All versions)
When Christine leaves Erik.

Rabbit Proof Fence.
When the girls are taken from their parents.

Whalerider.
When Pai is making her speech and her grandfather isn't at the concert.

Dumbo.
The Baby Mine scene.

Ladder 49.
When Jack's friend falls through the roof and into the flames.
When Jack accepts that he's going to die.

The Elephant Man.
When he goes to the theatre. It's happy but also incredibly poignant.
When he is being followed by a crowd and says I am a human being.:(
When he dies.

I agree about The Land Before Time-the aftermath of the Brontosaurus/Tyranosaurus fight is beautifully done.

Otherwise, whilst not being a massive fan of the franchise, the scene in the original Highlander film involving the death of the lead characters first love to the tune of "Who wants to Live forever" is truly poignant.

Being a sci-fi geek, Spock's death in Star Trek 2, followed by his whole funeral scene. I still get tear in my eyes when we see his "coffin" launched from the ship and then the sun rise from behind the Genesis planet. Really, really good imagery there. All set to a beautiful, soaring rendition of Amazing Grace.

I reckon Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince will have a really emotional scene towarRAB the end with Dumbledore's Funeral :(

But then again I'm a geek :D

The notebook ,when the old noah and ally are have that romantic meal in the home and she remember that the story is them ,and then suddenly she starts shouting that she dosent know him because shes forgotten again .I cry everytime
