I paint my daughters nails when ever she asks me to do it ( its about once every two weeks and the color chips off in in a day or two) well I always let her pick her own color. So about a week ago she asked and I let her pick a color and she picked this crazy metallic blue. Well my mother in law always shakes her head when my daughter has her nails painted but this time she told me that my 2 1/2 year old looked like a street walker. I was shocked but laughed it off.
So im wondering what do you think of painting little girls finger nails?
My daughter doesn't chew on her nails when they are painted and she doesn't suck on her thumb so im not worried about that. Plus its just one very thin coat. My mother in Law is a very rude, judgmental person. Oh the stories I could tell ( Im sure If i wrote a book between the horror people would find the humor as well) Shes not allowed to see our daughter alone or have her over night because of her personality so the things she says i just let roll now. If I got upset every time she said something Id be upset my whole life.
Oh also, my husband agrees with me that painting our daughters nails is fine. He painted them many times himself along with letting her paint his LOL. Yes we went to a work picnic that day and everyone loved his bright blue and pink nail polish.
