What is your opinion on all these little "chat relationships"...?

that ppl form on various sites? I know a 16 yr old guy who forms these relationships and considers this real life. He has NO friends in real life at all but is thinking he is an experienced dater because of this. These things are lasting less than a month! As I said, he has no friends in reality and has never had a real gf. Is this healthy or would he be better off getting off the internet and becoming part of the real world? Thanks
And also, if someone is meeting someone thru chat only isn't it a good possibility they are doing the same thing with many other ppl at the same time?
 
Don't belittle it by calling it "little" you don't know what people are like, so quick to judge, shame on you. I met my girlfriend over an online game, we have been together for almost a year, and I'm moving in with her in 10 days. I'm moving from Massachusetts to California, we are very serious and plan to get married and have kids.

You have to realize that you never know where you're going to find the right one. It could be anywhere, I didn't think I would meet anyone from just playing a game, but sure enough, I'm here.
 
Well i dont know why you are worrying about this guy. If you said he doesnt have any friends. Then you aren't his friend. So i dont get your point of asking about him... its actually very rude to do that by the way.

But to answer your other question. Yes, i think its very strange that people actually do that. Which is why i dont get why they have looking for relationship on facebook and myspace. I think its down right creepy to date someone off those websites. LIke one of my friends has had about 5 or 6 bfs of there. then says she loves them.
I think anyone who does that is very lonely and shy.
