That color on the frame of the 74 SS was always called Metallic Blue everywhere I have lived??

One of my favorite color tones whatever one calls it.....about the same shade as the old Pontiac GTO motors starting in the mid sixties.

I read in one of Cathcarts books that the 'green' was paint leftover from their outboard motor building days for boats. A parts bin special that went on to be a classic

metallic blue is interesting....only ever heard the green frame being called the green frame....not the metallic blue frame....will have to ask the ol boy....
the reference in the book was to 'green' brett?? was just wondering if it was an aussie thing?? bevelman u got any input??

Yes - I think so, otherwise I would have been confused prior to Gomers input. I have only ever heard 'green' for as long as I can remember (since Adam was a boy). Maybe it is an Aussie thing and the Poms too I guess.

So Gomer, that is obviously a wide spread term around your parts huh? Put it down to local preferences

nup, called the ol boy...he quotes from alan cathcarts book as well, and cathcart owned one...
not an aussie thing.....boss said that 'the imola race bike may have had blue on it'!!??
