What is your favourite movie marathon?

Before we see the new Star Wars movie, a friend and I are planning to watch the other 5 back to back (sad, I know, especially at my age)

I bought The Good, The Bad and The Ugly a while back. Now the other two movies are out on DVD, I'll have to watch the trilogy :-)

oh i have to go with a weekend marathon of the friday the 13th movies:

Friday The 13th
Friday The 13th: Part 2
Friday The 13th: Part 3D
Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter
Friday The 13th: A New Beggining
Friday The 13th: Jason Lives
Friday The 13th: The New Blood
Friday The 13th: Jason Takes Manhatten
Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday

and then if i get through all them i will move onto the halloween movies

Halloween 3: Season Of The Witch
Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers
Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers
Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers
Halloween H20
Halloween: Resurrection

god i love these 2 serises and can't wait for Haloween 9 and Freddy VS. Jason 2

Me, too - especially the Halloween ones, although I've always been too scared to watch any of the films alone, and remain that way - at the age of 34. :o

I think it has something to do with there being a white estate car-owner just a few doors away from me when I was aged 12. ;)

I would like to watch all Six Star wars in a row but Back to the future is also great :)

Has to be the George Romero zombie trilogy for me...
1. Night of the Living Dead
2. Dawn of the Dead
3. Day of the Dead.
Possibly supplemented with...
4. Return of the Living Dead
5. 28 Days Later
and the best zombie flick ever made....
SHAUN OF THE DEAD!!!!!

...yes, I'm strange!

Tremors
Tremors 2: Aftershocks
Tremors 3: Back to Perfection
Tremors 4: The Legend Begins

Could always follow this up with all the Police Academy's i suppose. :)

One day I'm going to watch all 3 LotR movies together, but I've not had time yet.

Not a movie, but I did Twin Peaks once over a weekend. It has dull stretches. Maybe TV series suit marathons better.

I'd quite like a Hellraiser marathon, especially if it included the 6th film which I've not seen yet. But I think it'd just rub in how many ideas got lost along the way - eg what happen to Leviathon?

I do something similar but I do a whole Kevin Smith run. From Clerks to Jersey Girl incorporating the excellent commentaries and An Evening With too.

I did 24 Season Two in 3 days. That hurt me. Another good one, although it's not a trilogy... or even more than one movie. The DVD edition of the TV Movie "The Stand" - 6 hours!!!
