What Is Your Favourite Film

I agree.
Loved all the 'Man With No Name' Westerns that Clint Eastwood made ~
A Fistful of Dollars
For A Few Dollars More
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

I can't be bothered to make a huge list like everyone else, but if there was only one movie on this Earth, I'd like it to be Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Pure genious.

I LOVE the Lost Boys too - had the video when i was a teen many moons ago, I used to watch it at least once a week and sadly could recite the script as i watched it! I had a Corey Haim obsession!

I have a family that likes to comment over movies/TV. There has only been one movie where everyone (ok including me!) was quiet as a mouse on. (of course we had to chear when Andy escaped! and when Norton shot himself... and we were sad when Brooks... etc)

The Shawshank Redemption

Considering we are having more than one I'll add some more.

Armageddon - Has everything, action, comedy, love and cheesey special effects, best bit is when the little guy sits on the nuclear war head shouting no nukes :D

Pay It Forward - Love the simplistic message, but I sobbed at the end, when I watched it the 2nd time I cried in anticipation of the ending

Has to be 'Superman: The Movie'.

Epic in scale, brilliant production values and beautifully played by all. THE definitive comic book adaptation and the benchmark for all others to follow.

Still makes me believe a man can fly!

The shining.

The descent.

Platoon.

Jacob's ladder.

Star wars: Empire strikes back.

Alien.

Godfather 1 & 2.

The towering inferno.

Rear window.

A few good men.

Ghostbusters.

The first video we ever borrowed from the shop, to play on our new "Videostar" top loader, back in the day, was called The Champ and I sobbed from beginning to end.

My top 5 are

Shrek
Lord of the Rings Triology
Star Wars (all six)
Shawshank Redemption
Pirates of the Caribbean

but I'm sure I could easily list a top 50 if not a 100.....

Goodfellas
The Deer Hunter
The Godfather 2
Do The Right Thing
The Sound of Music :o
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Pulp Fiction
Jean de Florette
Manon des sources

Castle in the Sky
Night of the Comet
Josie and the Pussycats
Ferris Bueller's Day Off

I am sure there are more, just can't think of them at the moment.
