What is your favorite time period in history? Fun thinking question =]?

For me, it would be the 1940s-1960s. Frank Sinatra's time.
When I think about this period, I picture how much more peaceful and "humane" this time period was...

The milkman would come every morning with a friendly "howdya do?". Mom had pearl necklaces and a nice apron, dad was clean groomed, friendly. Family dinner at nights and bonding around the radio listening to Sinatra or Armstrong. Men being TRUE gentlemen, etc. Divorce was a thing unheard of...A time of peace and humanity....

So, what is your favorite time period in history, and why?
