What is your favorite genre(s) of anime?

Mine are:

Action
Sci-fi
Fantasy
Historical
Samurai
Super Natural
Mecha (s)
Romance
Comedy
and CyberPunk
Mystery/suspence
Horror
 
Romantic anime is at the top of my list (I can't help it, I'm a romantic )
Comedy
Romantic Comedy's are fantastic
Fantasy
Action
Supernatural and Sci-Fi

Basically I love most animes, although I'm not a huge fan of mecha, which is weird for me because when I was little I was very much a tomboy, I guess my tastes have changed.
I do also love anime with historical facts thrown in throughout them, it makes the anime not only awesome to watch but also gives you a sense of "I'm still learning something" :P hehe
 
You must be young lol.

Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Bubblegum Crisis, Ergo Proxy, Texhnolyze, and my favorite Serial Expreriments Lain.

I loved this genre so much.

and yes I know what you are referring to now but i don't think the genre term is used often much...I own Ergo Proxy and have seen Ghost in the Shell (Stand Alone Complex) I want to be like the Major sooo bad lmao...

Have you ever read the book Neuromancer? It deals with the same things. It is older but a good book.
 
Yeah. I've actually owned the book for years but i have a confession to make. I've never read it. I usually get my Cyberpunk fix from anime or movies like Blade Runner or the Matrix.
 
oooohhhhhhhhhh nnnnnooooooo way...tooo cool...I've never met anyone that has even hear of that book, never mind owning it....YAY!!!
 
William Gibson is a legend.

The main reason that i love cyberpunk is because if the setting. I love the idea of the Neo Tokyo Blade Runner type city in the rain that gibson loved as well. Seems romantic to me for some reason.
 
At the first place psychological anime in my opinion is the best of all, I like anime like Death Note, and the second place adventure and action anime like Naruto and Bleach.

@ Beyond Birthday..have you seen Ghost Hound... it is a mix of psychological and super natural. I really love it
