What is your child's favorite book or author?

What is your child's favorite book or author and how do you feel about that book?

Ian's favorites are anything Dr. Seuss...he especially loves go dog go and the cat in the hat. I love Dr. Seuss, but I can only read the cat in the hat a few times in a row!

*I'm looking to add to my 'Must buy Ian' book list*

Google Tricycle press (or Bicycle press for an older child), they have a lot of fun books, like the Dragon in the Wood series, and the Tiny, Tiny Boy and the Big Big Cow (great book!). Also.... Llama Llama Red Pajama (there are two others now, Llama Llama Mad At Mama and Llama Llama Misses Mama). These books are lots of fun, and the Llama books have good illustrations and really describe a young child's feelings and reactions well. Also, anything by Mercer Mayer. Good luck! :)

I don't know how old Ian is, but my two are 5 years and 2.5 years old. My son (2.5) loves anything with trucks, cars, or other things that go in it. One book that they both liked that we checked out from the library recently was "Gulliver Snip" by Julia Kay. It's the story of a little boy who takes adventures instead of baths. Both the kids liked it a lot. We also like Eric Carle, Sandra Boynton, and a lot of the Usborne books.

My 2 year old daughter likes monkeys. So we have Curious George books, and books like 10 monkeys on the bed. She also likes Disney books with the animals like Lady & The Tramp, Lion King, 101 Dalmatians.

Good Luck

My son's favorite books are
The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
Good Night, Sweet Butterflies by Dawn Bentley

He is so fascinated by butterflies. He makes us read these 2 books before bed and sometimes before naps.
