What is you have been disconnected from chat because you have signed into yahoo

STOP GETTING SIGNED OUT OF Y!M WHEN YOU CHECK YOUR MAIL
First of all do not panic if you get this message, “You have been signed out because you signed in on a different computer or device,” or “You have been disconnected from chat because you have signed into Yahoo! Messenger from another computer or device.” This notice is the number one question that has been asked on Yahoo! Answers ever since Yahoo introduced the new chat feature of Yahoo! Mail. You cannot be signed into any 2 yahoo chat programs with the same Yahoo! ID at the same time. This may include Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger for the Web, Yahoo! Mail chat, Yahoo! Messenger on your cell phone, iPhone, or iPod, and of course on a different computer. You will be signed out of one of these if you attempt to sign into another at the same time with the same Yahoo! ID. You can read more here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/chat/chat-21.html;_ylt=AqL5l8JXqwrKJwBTg4wqk6lq5yN4

Remember to that just clicking the X in the upper right corner does not actually close or exit Yahoo! Messenger (unless you have changed this in Preferences). It just minimizes to the system tray by your clock and is still running If you want to Exit Y!M then you would need to right click that Yahoo! icon by your clock and choose exit. Or you can, as I have done, change it in Preferences, General Category, so that Y!M will close when I click the X. Check the box that says, “Sign out of Messenger when I close the main window.” Click OK.

This paragraph will deal with how to make sure you have disabled the chat feature of Yahoo! Mail so that you will not get signed out of Yahoo! Messenger every time you check your Yahoo! Mail. What you need to do is locate where the chat is in Yahoo! Mail and sign out of it which will make you offline on the Yahoo! Mail. On the classic mail it is located in a blue box on the left. In the New Yahoo Mail you sign out of chat by your name near the top. You will see a drop down arrow to choose from a list.

But by all means if you feel this does not apply to you and are worried about the security of your account, then change your password by signing into “My Account Info,” which you can access via the Messenger menu at the top of Yahoo Messenger or in the drop down menu under your name at the top of any Yahoo website you are signed into.

looks like you have your chat activated in your mail , and the messenger activated also, both can´t work toghether, on top in your mail click on available or could also say invisible and click sign out of chat, or log out of your messenger, if that is not the case then somebody is having your password, change it

This will always happen because when you open your e-mail page that is another source of chat...you cant be on two chat sources at one time....
